HUNTINGTON RIB & MUSIC FEST HEATS UP HARRIS RIVERFRONT PARK Huntington, WV - Mark your calendar for the Huntington Rib & Music Fest, August 7-10, at Harris Riverfront Park. The 13th Annual Huntington Rib & Music Fest is a four day event designed specifically as a summer riverfront food and entertainment festival. The Rib & Music Fest features mouth watering, finger licking good ribs and barbeque chicken, prepared by some of the best “Ribbers” in the United States. The Festival also features specialty food vendors such as Bloomin’ Onions, Dippin’ Dots, Rick's Lemonade, Strawberry Express, and Kettle Korn. This year’s event features six award-winning BBQ chefs and crews who tempt this region's taste buds with their signature sauces, delectably covering tender ribs and chicken. All of the vendors are colorful and display their awards and rib eating slogans proudly. In addition to selling their delicious barbeque, the ribbers compete for cash prizes, chosen by a panel of barbeque afficiantos. Festival goers are encouraged to vote for their favorite overall participant in the "People's Choice" competition. The Huntington Rib & Music Fest provides musical entertainment for everyone. Each day offers a different type of music featuring national & local bands sure to delight the young and old. Musical entertainment includes; The Marshall Tucker Band on Thursday night presented by The DAWG & The Planet, the WTCR Jamboree featuring Cody McCarver and Jake Owen on Friday night presented by WTCR, the Diamonds, the Marvelettes, and the Clovers on Saturday night presented by B 97, and Blues Sunday with Lil’ Joe, The Carpenter Ants, and Larry Whitt presented by The River & Magic. The Huntington Rib & Music Fest also presents The Kiddie Korral sponsored by St. Mary’s Medical Center. Friday through Sunday activities include FREE inflatables, a local caricature artist, face painting, and on Sunday, carnival games. ### |
