THE TOUGHEST MONSTER TRUCK TOUR IS COMING TO BIG SANDY ARENA-ON DIRT
HUNTINGTON, WV (January 19, 2012) ¬– It’s time to get tough West Virginia. April 13 and 14, the Toughest Monster Truck Tour is coming to Big Sandy Arena in Huntington, with six of the nation’s toughest monster trucks, including former world champion truck, Avenger – and it’s all happening ON DIRT. Tickets go on sale January 20h and select adult tickets are $3 off through February 12th. All tickets purchased during this time will receive free pit passes. Kids (age 2-12) tickets outside the gold circle are just $10 in advance.
All monster truck events are not created equal. The Toughest Monster Truck Tour creates more exciting events by bringing in dirt and bringing together some of the best monster trucks and drivers in the nation. Here’s what fans can expect to see at the Toughest Monster Truck Tour event at the Big Sandy Arena:
1. For the first time ever for a monster truck event at the Big Sandy Arena,1250 tons of dirt will be hauled in on 60 truck loads to transform the floor into a challenging dirt track with obstacles and turns never seen before in Huntington. This will result in a much higher degree of difficulty for the drivers, a higher risk for crashes and a more exciting event for the fans.
2. Six monster trucks will compete in racing and freestyle on this dirt track including former World Champion Avenger, Wrecking Crew, Razin Kane, Tailgator, Toxic and Stinger.
3. The world-class FMX East motocross team will wow the crowd with gravity-defying tricks and stunts including back-flips. The FMX East team is a group of highly esteemed professional freestyle motocross riders who have competed in events across North America, South America and Europe.
“Monster truck fans will love the Toughest Monster Truck Tour event because it’s 1800 tons of dirt and mashed metal on a challenging dirt track INSIDE the Big Sandy Arena, which has never been done for a monster truck event here,” said Brian Sipe, General Manager of the Big Sandy Arena.
The stars of Toughest Monster Truck Tour will get up close and personal with fans before each event during the Pit Party. Fans holding a pit pass and an event ticket will be allowed onto the floor of the Big Sandy Arena before each event. Free pit passes will automatically be included with every ticket purchased January 20 through February 12. After February 12, free pit passes will be available for free at a location to be announced, or for $5 at the box office.
The Toughest Monster Truck Tour performance times are 7:30pm each night. Kids tickets outside the gold circle are just $10 and discounted family 4-packs and group rates are also available.
