Indoor Motocross Championship

The thrills and excitement of the Action Sports Indoor Motocross Championship will return to the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington on Friday and Saturday January 13th & 14th 2012 at 7:30 PM. The Huntington Indoor Motocross plays host to hundreds of local mini and amateur riders along with professional riders from the Tri State area and all over the country. Thousands of loyal motorcycle racing enthusiasts pack the arena for two incredible nights of racing. Competitors beginning at 5 years old on 50cc mini bikes along with amateur riders of all ages and skill levels and an even more talented group of professional riders will compete in the event. Many of these pro riders are seeking thousands in prize money and eventually stardom on the National racing circuit. Twelve hundred cubic yards of dirt will be used to construct the race track. Double, triple and tabletop jumps will keep the riders flying over 60 feet through the air all weekend long. Rider registration begins at 10:00 AM with practice at noon, pro practice at 3:00 PM, opening ceremonies at 7:00 PM with racing at 7:30 PM. This schedule is for both Friday and Saturday. To enter the race, go to the Indoor Motocross page on the Action Sports website www.ActionSportsRacing.com. No AMA or district memberships are required to race in the event this year. Pit passes are available for the rider’s family members, mechanics and anyone associated with the rider. Racers do not need to purchase a pit pass. The pit area is open only to those who purchase a pit pass. A pit pass allows entry into the arena grand stands for the rider seating section only. The doors open Friday and Saturday night at 6:00 PM for the 7:30 show. The show usually lasts 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 9th at noon and will be available at Ticketmaster.com, the Big Sandy Superstore Arena Box office or charge by phone at 800-745-3000. Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the show. All seats are reserved.
